Jennie Parham

is the Project Manager for Auseinet(The Australian Network for Promotion,Prevention and Early Intervention for Mental Health ).This project, based at Flinders University of South Australia is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging through the National Mental Health Strategy and the National Suicide Prevention Strategy. The project supports the implementation of PPEI at the State and Territory level and across sectors.

Jennie has a background in clinical psychology and has 15 years experience working in public mental health services in a variety of roles. Prior to taking up the position at Auseinet, Jennie was the Director of the Rural Health Training Unit in South Australia and Director of an outreach organisation of a large innercity church in Adelaide. 

As part of her current work, Jennie is a member of the National Promotion and Prevention Working Party and the National MindMatters Reference Group. In collaboration with Debra Rickwood ,conducted the National Consultation Process on the National Action Plan for PPEI for mental health. 

The title of Jennie's presentation today is Mental Health Promotion: A National Perspective.
